    Female sea otter giving her young pup a ride on her belly. She followed me, with her pup, only several feet from my kayak in Monterey Bay for approximately a mile. One could only experience this in a kayak.

    Jervis Inlet is a principal inlet of the British Columbia Coast, about 95 km (59 mi) northwest of Vancouver. It stretches 77 kilometres (48 mi)[2] from its head at the mouth of the short (18 km or 11 mi) Skwakwa River to its opening into the Strait of Georgia near Texada Island. It is the deepest fjord on the British Columbia coast with a maximum depth of 732 metres (2,402 ft).

    Ross Lake is a large reservoir in the North Cascade mountains of northern Washington state, USA, and southwestern British Columbia, Canada. The lake runs approximately north-south, is 23 miles (37 km) long, up to 1.5 miles (2.5 km) wide, and the full reservoir elevation is 1,604 feet above sea level (489 m).

    Big Lake is 225 acres in size and is situated on the historic Santiam Wagon Road and was the first resting place for early travelers heading west. Volcanic peaks and cinder cones visible from the lake include Mt. Washington, Sand Mountain, Hoodoo Butte, Hayrick Butte and Three Fingered Jack.

    Sparks Lake is a lake in Deschutes County, Oregon. Many of Deschutes County's other natural sites can be seen from the lake, such as Mount Bachelor. There are seven mountains near the lake. Including Three Sisters (Oregon), Broken Top, and Mount Jefferson.
