Your kayaking philosophy,
in one sentence or less:
"More Fun is More Good!" (company slogan) also "If I can do this then anyone can!"
Your biggest kayaking expedition:
Two weeks in the San Juan Islands in sea kayaks, one day to wash gear, grab whitewater kayaks and then spent four days on the Rogue River.
Your dream kayaking expedition:
Wow. Our water temperature is 45 to 55 degrees. I've never been kayaking in water warmer than 60 degrees. As it hails and rains on us in the winter I think there must be naked people in SOTs somewhere in the world. Still, I dream of doing the entire inside passage and more cold water. I am grateful for base layers and breathable waterproof materials! Also, since it's my "dream" somehow my dogs are at the take-out each day with either warm yummy meals or fabulous sashimi and good microbrew. This is odd because none of my dogs are old enough to buy beer.
Paddling certifications:
American Canoe Association Open Water Coastal Instructor, Adaptive Paddling Endorsement, Swiftwater Rescue.
